Parts of Parts of Art Workshop!!








In this lively workshop we will focus on designing and producing the components of mixed media art jewelry. By the end of the session, guests will be able to take home pieces of wearable art of their own design. 

Parts of Parts of Art include handmade textured paper, acrylic paint skins, canvas remnants, polymer clay beads, paper beads, and various painted and textured surfaces. All tools and materials will be provided to guests. Snacks, coffee and cold drinks will also be available. 

Parts of Parts of Art workshop will take place on Saturday, May 26th.

Schedule for the workshop: 
10 AM introduction and demonstration 
10:15-11 design and build parts of parts of art
11 coffee & snack extravaganza
11:15-12 put all the parts of art together

The workshop will take place in my inspiring and peaceful country studio outside Alexandria Indiana. Once your registration is completed you will receive directions and details. See you there!

Visual harmony

One way visual harmony is achieved is by use of color. Colors harmonize when they are similar to one another, either in their tone, tint,  or hue. Even contrasting colors harmonize with each other when they are balanced by size, shape, direction, line or texture. My lovely client came into my booth wearing a fuschia scarf with a geometric pattern. We found earrings to harmonize her look. The earrings are similar in color and line.  How do you think we did? August Happenings at the Art Dept!

  Grab a seat at the table for any or all upcoming workshops! Every Tuesday morning, we're inviting home school groups for a morning of art-making. Wednesday evening is time for adult painting sessions. Bring your own project or follow along with Sandy. Thursday morning is Java & Journal, where we spend time with illustrated art journaling while drinking yummy coffee. First timers will receive a fresh new watercolor journal.  Friday 3-6 is the $5 art class at the Alexandria Farmers & Artists Market. Different make & take project weekly. No reservation required.
